Who I am:

  • Lifelong Coon Rapids resident
  • Married to Sue, with two children and four grandchildren
  • Member of the Church of Epiphany
  • Retired Coon Rapids Police Officer
  • Working part time as a background investigator and teaching 55+ driver discount classes

Volunteerism and Fundraising:

  • Youth sports coach (baseball, basketball, football). Past president of the Coon Rapids Sideliners (now Gridiron) football booster club
  • Park River Estates, Camilia Rose, and Homestead (now Boden) Care Centers
  • Meals on Wheels (now Impact Services), Feed My Starving Children, and ACBC food shelf
  • Special Olympics, District 11 Project Power, District 11 Adaptive Athletics
  • Board member and volunteer with the Community Strength Foundation
  • Member of the Anoka County Community Corrections Advisory Board

I was elected to Council At-Large in 2020 and re-elected in 2024. As Council At-Large I represent the entire city and am responsible for fulfilling the duties of Mayor Pro Tem when necessary. I would like to serve the city as Mayor and will continue to be a tireless advocate for Coon Rapids and its residents.

My main priorities:

  • Public Safety- This is the first responsibility of any government entity
  • Infrastructure- Focusing on clean water, decent roads, and maintaining our parks and city structures
  • Fiscal Responsibility- Being a good steward of taxpayer dollars while still investing in our future
  • Business Growth- Building relationships with existing businesses and promoting an environment that encourages new businesses to come to Coon Rapids
  • Community Outreach- Building a sense of community by promoting the city and events, and by being accessible to residents
